Reporting Incidents to the Police

Shooting being heard in the area

As with any concerns the community may have, but more so where there is a suggestion of the use of firearms, the Police request that these are reported directly to them.

Those out conducting these schemes will often call the Police first to make them aware, so it may be a case that the Police already know they are in the area.

However, if it is not being conducted in the agreed safe parameters, it is important that the Police are made aware of it as soon as possible to ensure appropriate action is taken.

The best way to do non-emergency reporting is online via the website at

When you open the homepage there is a blue report button near the top of the screen, click on that and follow the prompts.

It can sometimes be a little confusing as it can ask questions that people may not feel relevant. Police advice is just to make sure the persons details are correct and that there is a good summary of what is being reported. The rest can be changed once the Police look into it further.

This will also work on mobile phones.
