Planning Applications

When you submit a planning application to either New Forest District Council or New Forest National Park Authority the Parish Council will be notified; the clerk will then write to you to ask if you would like a visit from 2 councillors, to show them the site and discuss the planning proposal.

Your near neighbours will be asked if they wish to comment. Your application will be discussed at the next Parish Council Meeting and if you attend you will have the opportunity to provide more information during the public session. After discussion councillors will agree a response to the relevant authority. Applications and the results are recorded in the minutes of each meeting.

A number of retrospective applications for work carried out without permission are requested by both National Park and New Forest District Council planning officers, it is important to find out if planning consent is needed before work is carried out as unlawful work can lead to enforcement action.
